Finally, I’ve got the sunset shot from this location. To be honest, I’m still not satisfied with the end results. The weather and the colors of the sunset are not up to my expectation. If there’s a lot of cloud filling up the sky, I believe the colors would be more brilliant then this. Oh well, next time perhaps…

Recognition

Recently I’ve published some of my photos to compete with others at pixoto.com. You know what? I’ve manage to get the highest vote and three of my images has won as the top 10 images in Architecture & Design category! Cool!

What is Pixoto anyway? Pixoto is an online community where photographers compete to have the best images in their category. Photographers submitted their images and matched against each other in the ImageDuel system and voted on by other community members. The winners advance on the Image Leaderboards and vie for the coveted top spot.

What you need to do is just register, submit your images, wait for others to vote your photos and by the end of the week; you’ll get your results. In order for you to submit your images, you’ll need to get the credits whereby this credit is automatically added into your profile once you’ve voted in the ImageDuel – one image voted, you’ll get one credit. To submit an image you’ll need 10 credits, so if you want to submit more, you’ll need to vote more images that you think deserve as the best.

I’ve done mine and I’ve received the recognition from the community members and pixoto team. Below are the quotes from the email that I’ve received from them:

Hectic Kuala Lumpur

Photography outing with Hilman, Syibli, Zam & Nafis at the busiest location in KL – the Bukit Bintang road. This particular picture was shot around 11.30 pm but the traffic are still congested and there are still a lot of people. Open concert and street dance everywhere, people stroll from one shopping mall to others, restaurant full of foreigners (mostly middle eastern visitors) and they’ve played an Arabic songs to attract their customers. I’ve even wondered whether I’m still in Malaysia or not. I’m not used to this kind of environment so, I left around 12.30 am after I’ve got all the shots that I need.

Thinking of coming to this place again?.. nah! I don’t think so.. perhaps not at the moment..

Out and about at Cherating

It’s already past a few weeks actually. A free vacation fully sponsored by the company that I worked for. 3 days 2 nights’ visits to a heavenly place, specially design and architect for a couples on honeymoon – Club Med Cherating, Pahang. Unfortunately I cannot bring my family along because they are not covered in the travel package… just for the employees only.

The place is so beautiful, very clean environment, white sandy beaches, 4 meals a day, free entertainment at night etc. etc. (so much things to be remembered!).. This place is truly awesome! I’m thinking of coming back here again next year – if the budget permits though..lol!
